Laser Tattoo Removal Aftercare Guide

Your Post-Treatment Instructions for Optimal Healing

At Elite Beauty, we’re committed to your comfort, safety, and long-term results. Proper aftercare is essential to ensure your skin heals beautifully and that your tattoo removal treatments are as effective as possible.

What to Expect After Treatment

Following your laser tattoo removal session, it’s completely normal to experience:

  • Redness, swelling, or tenderness (similar to a mild sunburn)
  • A white or gray “frosting” on the skin, which is a temporary response to the laser
  • Light blistering or pinpoint bleeding in some cases
  • Slight warmth or sensitivity in the treated area

These reactions typically subside within a few hours to several days.

Aftercare Instructions

1. Keep the Area Clean and Dry

Cleanse gently with fragrance-free soap and cool water. Avoid scrubbing. Pat the area dry with a clean towel.

2. Apply a Healing Ointment

Use a thin layer of Aquaphor or another ointment recommended by your provider. Keep the area lightly covered with a sterile, non-stick dressing for the first 24 to 48 hours.

3. Do Not Pick or Scratch

If blistering or scabbing occurs, allow it to heal naturally. Picking or scratching can increase the risk of scarring or hyperpigmentation.

4. Soothe with a Cold Compress

To relieve discomfort or reduce swelling, apply a cold compress (wrapped in a clean cloth) for 10 to 15 minutes as needed. Avoid placing ice directly on the skin.

5. Avoid Sun Exposure

Keep the treated area out of direct sunlight for at least two weeks. Once healing begins, apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ daily to protect the skin and prevent pigment changes.

6. Limit Physical Activity

Refrain from heavy exercise, swimming, hot tubs, or saunas for 48 to 72 hours to minimize irritation and prevent infection.
